2. Jean2 Geandreau (Jean1 Jeandreau) was born in Cambes, Gironde, France about 1773.(1) According to his marriage record, he was a native of the parish of Cambes, diocese of Bordeaux. Jean died December 7, 1822 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama, at 49 years of age.(2) From the December 9, 1822 Mobile County Register:

Died at his residence near this city on Saturday last, Mr. John Jandreau, formerly of Philadelphia, but for several years past a resident of this place. He was buried yesterday with Masonic honors, accompanied with the ceremonial of the Catholic Church. His body was interred December 8, 1822 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama.(3)

He married Marie Louisa Merel in Port-au-Prince, Saint Domingue, September 7, 1795.(4) Marie was born in Mirebalais, Saint Domingue about 1762.(5) Her marriage record reports her a native of the parish of St. Louis of Mirebalais, Saint Domingue. Saint Domingue was a French plantation colony in the last part of the 1700's, and is today Haiti. Marie was the daughter of Pierre Merel and Catherine Roubert.

Marie died August 17, 1845 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama, at 83 years of age.(6) Her body was interred August 20, 1845 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama.(7)

3. John3 Geandreau (Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born about 1805.(8) It is likely that John was born in Philadelphia. John died August 25, 1834 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama, at 29 years of age.(9) His body was interred August 26, 1834 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama.(10)

He married Marguerite Clair Girard in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama, December 14, 1828.(11) The marriage was witnessed by Felix Herpin, Francois Girard, and Charles H. Hery.

Marguerite was born about 1803.(12) Marguerite died April 23, 1835 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama, at 31 years of age.(13) Her body was interred April 24, 1835 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama.(14)

John Henry4 Geandreau (John3, Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama about 1829.(18) John died September 8, 1860 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama, at 31 years of age.(19) He died from abeylis of the throat. His body was interred September 9, 1860 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama, at Magnolia Cemetery.(20) He is buried in Space E1/2, Lot 29, Square 16.

He married Elizabeth Grivet Dorgan in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama, September 23, 1852.(21) J. H. Geandreau and P. Reardon signed on the marriage bond. The marriage was performed by J. McGarahan.

Elizabeth was born in New York, New York March 29, 1833.(22) Elizabeth was the daughter of John Daniel Dorgan and Adelaide Grivet. Elizabeth died April 2, 1917 in Ennis, Ellis County, Texas, at 84 years of age.(23) Her body was interred in Ennis, Ellis County, Texas, at Myrtle Cemetery.(24) The graves are in the Old Addition, Block 19.

John Henry Geandreau and Elizabeth Grivet Dorgan had the following family:

5. William A.4 Geandreau (John3, Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama about 1830.(34) William died about 1864.(35) He died while in the Confederate Army.

He married Euphemia Mary Lassabe in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama, April 28, 1853.(36) William A. Geandreau and Roland Boullemet put up the bond for the marriage. They were married by M. McGarahan

Euphemia was born in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama about 1833. Euphemia died May 5, 1893 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama, at 59 years of age.(37) Her body was interred May 5, 1893 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama, at Magnolia Cemetery.(38)

William A. Geandreau and Euphemia Mary Lassabe had the following family:

6. Mary Margaret4 Geandreau (John3, Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama January 25, 1833.(42) Mary died January 28, 1906 in Frisco City, Monroe County, Alabama, at 73 years of age.(43)

She married Joseph Waring Baas in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama, May 9, 1855.(44) Joseph W. Baas and John J. W. Magoffin signed a bond for this marriage. They were married by J.H. Ingraham, Rector, St. John's Episcopal Church in the home of Rowland Baullemet.

Joseph was born in Charleston, Charleston County, South Carolina November 4, 1827. Joseph was the son of Thomas Emanuel Baas and Elize Esther Perry. Joseph died June 2, 1872 in Jones Mill, Alabama, at 44 years of age.

John Griffin5 Jandrew (John Henry4 Geandreau, John3, Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama July 9, 1853.(45) John died July 17, 1934 in Terrell, Kaufman County, Texas, at 81 years of age.(46) His body was interred in Terrell, Kaufman County, Texas, at Oakland Cemetery.

He married twice. He married Mary Jane Proctor in Gibson County, Tennessee, August 28, 1876.(47) Mary was born in Trenton, Gibson County, Tennessee August 13, 1857.(48) Mary was the daughter of P.S. Proctor and Nancy --?--. Mary died December 14, 1887 in Wolfe City, Hunt County, Texas, at 30 years of age.(49) He married Mary May Reynolds in Wolfe City, Hunt County, Texas, June 27, 1888.(50) Mary was a school teacher.

Mary was born in Corinth, Alcorn County, Mississippi November 18, 1861.(51) Mary died 1940 in Terrell, Kaufman County, Texas, at 78 years of age. Her body was interred in Terrell, Kaufman County, Texas, at Oakland Cemetery.

9. Mary Louise5 Geandreau (John Henry4, John3, Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama June 26, 1856.(65) Lou died June 7, 1927 in Jack County, Texas, at 70 years of age.(66) Her body was interred in Cundiff, Jack County, Texas, at Cundiff Cemetery.(67)

She married David Thomas Jarvis in Falls County, Texas, October 23, 1877.(68) They were married by Jesse Tubb, Minister of the Gospel. Emma Gustin's Family Bible says the marriage was in the presence of W.H. Jarvis and wife.

David was born in Texas August 22, 1856.(69) David was the son of Thomas Jarvis and Mary Ann Millington. David died June 9, 1919 at 62 years of age.(70) His body was interred in Cundiff, Jack County, Texas, at Cundiff Cemetery.(71)

Mary Louise Geandreau and David Thomas Jarvis had the following family:

11. Elizabeth Lee5 Geandreau (John Henry4, John3, Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama March 1859. Lee died 1951 in Ennis, Ellis County, Texas, at 92 years of age.(86) Her body was interred in Ennis, Ellis County, Texas, at Myrtle Cemetery.(87)

She married William Phillip Rogers in Falls County, Texas, March 20, 1878.(88) Phillip was born in Pineville, Clarke County, Alabama September, 1849.(89) Phillip died 1938 in Ennis, Ellis County, Texas, at 88 years of age.(90) His body was interred in Ennis, Ellis County, Texas, at Myrtle Cemetery.(91)

Elizabeth Lee Geandreau and William Phillip Rogers had the following family:

12. Marsaleet5 Geandreau (John Henry4, John3, Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama April 8, 1860.(98) Marsaleet died July 3, 1922 in Austin County, Texas, at 62 years of age.(99) Her body was interred in Bellville, Austin County, Texas, at Oak Knoll Cemetery.(100)

She married William Monroe Andress in Texas, about 1883. William was born in Alabama March 1, 1864.(101) William was the son of Hampton Monroe Andress and Sarah Elizabeth Robbins. William died December 18, 1951 in Austin County, Texas, at 87 years of age.(102) His body was interred in Bellville, Austin County, Texas, at Oak Knoll Cemetery.(103)

Sixth Generation

16. William Curtis6 Jandrew (John Griffin5, John Henry4 Geandreau, John3, Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born in Trenton, Gibson County, Tennessee June 30, 1877.(105) William died March 2, 1957 in Terrell, Kaufman County, Texas, at 79 years of age.(106) His body was interred in Terrell, Kaufman County, Texas, at Oakland Cemetery.

He married Francis Burns Nash in Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas, July 20, 1898.(107) They spend their honeymoon in Dallas at the St. George Hotel. They had a brother-in-law in Cleburne who worked for a railroad, and he got a pass to Dallas. Once there, he dressed up as a deputy and went the the room of the newlyweds after dinner and knocked on the door with a series of loud raps. When W.C. opened the door, the brother-in-law stated he had been told that William had abducted a young girl from Cleburne and that he had been sent to arrest him. Finally, he was recognized and they all had a good laugh.

Francis was born in Jefferson, Harrison County, Texas July 24, 1879.(108) Francis died December 27, 1944 in Terrell, Kaufman County, Texas, at 65 years of age. Her body was interred in Terrell, Kaufman County, Texas, at Oakland Cemetery.

William Curtis Jandrew and Francis Burns Nash had the following family:

Lillie6 Jarvis (Mary Louise5 Geandreau, John Henry4, John3, Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born in Falls County, Texas July 11, 1881.(114) Lillie died June 3, 1924 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at 42 years of age.(115) According the undertaker's records, Lillie died from pellagra. Her body was interred June 4, 1924 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at Riverside Cemetery.(116)

She married John Hampton Young in Jack County, Texas, February 3, 1901.(117) John was born in Denton County, Texas August 7, 1878.(118) There is some question about John's birth year. On the 1880 census he was listed as two years old by his father and he had a sibling, Birdine, who was born in December of 1879. These two facts suggest he was likely born in 1878. Birdine apparently did not live to adulthood, so an age comparison in John's adult years cannot be made. On all census reports, John lists his birth year as 1879 and his tombstone bears the 1879 birth year. John was the son of Samuel Young and Nancy Adeline Nix.

John died September 28, 1937 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at 59 years of age.(119) The immediate cause of death was listed as hypostatic pneumonia complicated by cancer of the liver.

His body was interred September 29, 1937 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at Riverside Cemetery.(120)

Lillie Jarvis and John Hampton Young had the following family:

27. Emma6 Jarvis (Mary Louise5 Geandreau, John Henry4, John3, Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born in Texas June 20, 1885.(128) Emma died February 24, 1974 in Jacksboro, Jack County, TX, at 88 years of age.(129) Her body was interred in Montague County, Texas, at Prairie Branch Cemetery.

She married Harrie C. Gustin in Jack County, Texas, January 12, 1907.(130) Mr. Harry Guston and Miss Emma Jarvis of Cundiff were married in town last Saturday Judge Stark performing the ceremony. They were accompanied by Miss Ella Jarvis, Melrose Huddleston, Mary Cole, Messrs. John Cole, Frank Reed, and Jeff Winters.

Harrie was born in Missouri January 15, 1885. Harrie was the son of Aberdine Gustin and Eliza Bell Mays. Harrie died November 27, 1908 in Jack County, Texas, at 23 years of age.(131) His body was interred in Montague County, Texas, at Prairie Branch Cemetery.

Emma Jarvis and Harrie C. Gustin had the following family:

28. Ella6 Jarvis (Mary Louise5 Geandreau, John Henry4, John3, Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born in Jack County, Texas August 23, 1887.(139) Ella died April 4, 1966 in Jack County, Texas, at 78 years of age.(140) Her body was interred in Jacksboro, Jack County, TX, at Oakwood Cemetery.(141)

She married Harry Louis Bowen in Jack County, Texas, July 21, 1910.(142) Harry was born in Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas October 27, 1887.(143) Harry was the son of Henry L. Bowen and Lee Bibb. Harry died September 1, 1966 in Jacksboro, Jack County, TX, at 78 years of age.(144) His body was interred in Jacksboro, Jack County, TX, at Oakwood Cemetery.(145)

Ella Jarvis and Harry Louis Bowen had the following family:

Jessie Bell6 Jarvis (Mary Louise5 Geandreau, John Henry4, John3, Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born May 24, 1891.(148) Jessie died March 13, 1967 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at 75 years of age.(149) Her body was interred March 15, 1967 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.

She married Jesse L. Martin in Jack County, Texas, April 3, 1910.(150) Jesse was born in Texas August 23, 1885. Jesse died April 5, 1967 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at 81 years of age.(151)

Jessie Bell Jarvis and Jesse L. Martin had the following family:

John Thomas6 Jarvis (Mary Louise5 Geandreau, John Henry4, John3, Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born in Montague County, Texas March 18, 1893.(152) He was born one mile southeast of Bowie, Montague County, Texas. John died November 20, 1971 in Baylor County, Texas, at 78 years of age.(153) His body was interred in Seymour, Baylor County, Texas, at Riverview Cemetery.(154)

He married Anna Lynch in Jack County, Texas, March 4, 1913.(155) Anna was born December 25, 1897.

34. Henry Earl6 Rogers (Elizabeth Lee5 Geandreau, John Henry4, John3, Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born in Falls County, Texas December 30, 1878.(156)

He married Isla Theresa Gallagher. Henry's parents were against the marriage because Isla was Catholic. After Henry got married to Isla, he moved to Kingsville to work on the Railroad sometime after 1911. They had 2 children in Ennis and then like 7 in Kingsville and by 1929 they had 3 others in San Antonio.

Henry Earl Rogers and Isla Theresa Gallagher had the following family:

She married twice. She married E. A. Shepherd. She married John Ricker. John was born November 1, 1883. John died December 7, 1963 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, at 80 years of age.

40. Bertha Gladys6 Rogers (Elizabeth Lee5 Geandreau, John Henry4, John3, Jean2, Jean1 Jeandreau) was born in Texas June 19, 1893.(160) She was a twin to Clarence. Bertha died June 6, 1992 in Texas, at 98 years of age.

She married William C. Hendrix. William was born October 28, 1894. William died February 15, 1983 at 88 years of age.
