Her body was interred in Bancroft, Daviess County, Missouri, at Hill Cemetery.

She married Daniel D. Heath in New York, January 5, 1826. Daniel was born in Massachusetts April 22, 1803.(9) Daniel died February 9, 1877 in Bancroft, Daviess County, Missouri, at 73 years of age.(10) He died in the home of his daughter, Victoria.

His body was interred in Bancroft, Daviess County, Missouri, at Hill Cemetery.

Edwin died November 21, 1888 in Solon, Johnson County, Iowa, at 69 years of age.(51) His body was interred in Solon, Johnson County, Iowa, at Oakland Cemetery.(52)

He married Martha McClain in Johnson County, Iowa, April 20, 1846. Edwin's mother was opposed to this marriage because of Martha's frail health.

Martha was born in Missouri April 1823.(53) Martha died January 6, 1887 in Solon, Johnson County, Iowa, at 63 years of age.(54) Her body was interred in Solon, Johnson County, Iowa, at Oakland Cemetery.(55)

Mrs. John Miles Called to the Great Beyond

Norton's Corners, April 16. -- Special to News -- Mrs. John Miles died last Thursday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herman Ressler. Wednesday she was apparently in good health and before retiring that night announced her intention of accompanying the family to town the following day. At midnight Mrs. Ressler went into her mother's room and saw that she was sleeping naturally, but in the morning it was discovered the aged lady had passed away some time during the preceding few hours. Her death was due to heart disease.

Deceased, whose maiden name was Caroline Elizabeth Brown, was born in Herkimer County, New York, in October 1824. She was married to John Miles at Iowa City, Iowa, in 1851, and a short time afterward they come to Butler County, residing here ever since. She leaves a husband and four children, John, Charles, Carrie, and Ida, to mourn her departure.

Mrs. Miles was a deeply religious woman, having for sixty years been a member of the Christian church.

Funeral services were conducted from the Ressler home Sunday afternoon by Rev. F.X. Miller of Cedar Falls. The remains were laid to rest in Riverside cemetery, Rev. Ernest A. Knight having charge of services at the grave.

Her body was interred April 14, 1907 in Butler County, Iowa, at Riverside Cemetery.

She married John Miles in Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa, January 8, 1851.(62) John was born in Sheffield, Caledonia County, Vermont November 7, 1827.(63) John was the son of Mastain Morrill Miles and Mary Polly Jenness. John died December 27, 1910 in St. Louis, Missouri, at 83 years of age.(64) He died from pneumonia that developed while recovering from a fractured hip.

Funeral notice from a Shell Rock newspaper:

John Miles, who some years ago resided in this locality, died at St. Louis Mo. Sunday [death certificate shows Tuesday]. The remains will be brought to Shell Rock, arriving here this Thursday morning on the Rock Island at 10:40. From the station the remains will be escorted to Riverside Cemetery by the local lodge of Odd Fellows, of which the deceased was a member.

His body was interred December 29, 1910 in Shell Rock, Butler County, Iowa, at Riverside Cemetery.(65)

She married Jeptha Arrison in Adams County, Illinois, September 2, 1852.(76) Jeptha was born in Delaware County, Ohio 1820. Jeptha died 1884 in San Francisco, San Francisco County, California, at 64 years of age.

Wilson in Johnson County, Iowa, February 4, 1868.(227) Thomas was born in Beallsville, Monroe County, Ohio June 25, 1836.(228) Thomas died March 3, 1880 in Johnson County, Iowa, at 43 years of age. He died in his home from a self-administered dose of strychnine. Years later, the remainder of the poison was found when a mantle clock was sent to be repaired.

She married Samuel Henry Culp in Madison County, Illinois, August 9, 1877.(238) Samuel was born in Madison County, Illinois December 15, 1846. Samuel died March 12, 1935 in Madison County, Illinois, at 88 years of age. His body was interred in Bethalto, Madison County, Illinois, at Short Cemetery.

She died in the home of her daughter, Hattie, Her body was interred April 23, 1930 in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, at Crystal Lake Cemetery.(270)

She married twice. She married Reuben A. DeWitt in Shell Rock, Butler County, Iowa, August 18, 1872.(271) They were married by Ephram Town, a justice of the peace.

Reuben was born in New York October 5, 1848.(272) Reuben was the son of Thomas H. DeWitt and Amy L. --?--. Reuben died March 12, 1904 in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, at 55 years of age.(273) His cause of death was listed as renal calculus followed by pyelitis and peritonitis.

His body was interred in Shell Rock, Butler County, Iowa, at Riverside Cemetery.(274) His tombstone was the type provided by the government for Union veterans of the civil war. It reads "Co K, 12 Regt, Iowa Inf".

She married Johannes J. Hedegaard in Hennepin County, Minnesota, June 27, 1914. They were married by Reverend Frank W. Harron, a minister of the Methodist Church.

Johannes was born in Denmark January 1837.(275) Johannes died June 5, 1921 in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, at 84 years of age.(276)

Thomas in Vernon County, Missouri, August 1883.(293) Marietta was born in Melugin's Grove, Lee County, Illinois October 6, 1860. Marietta was the daughter of Elijah E. Thomas and Sarah Jane Melugin. Marietta died September 12, 1893 in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri, at 32 years of age. He married Minnie Terpening in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri, February 24, 1895.(294) Minnie was born in Illinois March 1866.(295) Minnie was the daughter of Peter Terpening. Minnie died 1937 in Warsaw, Benton County, Missouri, at 71 years of age. Her body was interred in Warsaw, Benton County, Missouri, at Riverside Cemetery.

His body was interred in Salem, Dent County, Missouri, at Union Cemetery. According to family stories, John was cremated and his ashes were spread at Union cemetery in Dent County, Missouri by his daughter, Mabel.

He married three times. He married Blanch H. Smith in Iowa, 1886.(318) Blanch was born in New York September 28, 1863.(319) Blanch was the daughter of Jason Luther Smith and Sophia Pushee. Blanch died July 29, 1918 in St. Louis, Missouri, at 54 years of age.(320) She died at home from Addison's disease.

Her body was interred in Salem, Dent County, Missouri, at Union Cemetery. Her ashes were either spread or buried in the cemetery.

He married Roxie --?-- in St. Louis, Missouri, between 1918 and 1919. Roxie was born in Illinois 1871. He married Anna --?-- in St. Louis, Missouri, before 1930.(321) Anna was born in Missouri 1873.(322)

She married Herman Jacob Ressler in Bristow, Butler Co, IA, March 23, 1890.(331) Herman was born in Shell Rock, Butler County, Iowa February 2, 1867. Herman was the son of John B. Ressler and Nancy Jane Margretz. Herman died November 30, 1960 in Sparrow's Point, Baltimore County, Maryland, at 93 years of age. His body was interred December 3, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland, at Oak Lawn Cemetery.(332)
